MONDAYS 7 – 8:30 pm
In-Person Only — Not Online Donations Welcomed No pre-registration required Mindfulness is a form of meditation rooted in early Buddhist teachings. It is a way of cultivating awareness and understanding of oneself and others that fosters compassion, well-being and inner freedom. Over the summer as Viveka is away, we will continue to meet on Mondays. Lay persons will guide the group in meditation. Following this, we will read together, based on suggestions from Viveka. If questions arise, Viveka is available via email to guide us. The three jewels of Buddhism are the Buddha (the enlightened teacher), the dharma (the teachings), and the sangha (the community). We hope you'll continue to join us in community as we practice together, and as we contemplate the path. Are you wondering what is Buddhism? Here's a great primer, on the Tricycle website. |
