Open Mind Open Heart

This beautiful calligraphy inspired me to think about ways to open my heart, both physically and emotionally today. With the coming of autumn, we want to work with the lung meridian which starts in the large intestine, comes up through the lungs and then runs down the arms. Autumn is a season of letting go—letting go of leaves from the trees, letting go of things that have had their season. This pose Camatkarasana (Wild Thing), stimulates the lung meridian, and opens the heart. Take some time to explore this pose this fall, and exhale those things that no long serve you.
